Soothing Rose Hand Scrub

by Melissa Chichester

One of my favorite ways to relax at home is to pamper myself with a hand softening session. It’s easy to neglect our hands, but they deserve to be spoiled; after all, we are using them constantly! I spend most of the day typing, one of my favorite hobbies is crocheting, and I live in a cooler climate where the weather is not kind to my skin during the winter months (even despite wearing gloves). Unsurprisingly, my hands get dry very quickly.

This sugar scrub is easy to make and a fun gift idea to give during the holidays, Mother’s Day, or for a birthday. You will be surprised at how luxurious a homemade hand scrub feels!

Ingredients

Directions

In a small bowl, mix the jojoba oil, sugar, and Vitamin E oil until everything is blended and all sugar is coated in oil. Add the essential oil, using more or less to your personal preference if needed, and mix again.

Store in an airtight glass jar.

To use, massage 1 teaspoon of the scrub onto wet hands. Gently work between fingers, over palms, and on knuckles, and rinse after with warm water. Follow up with your favorite hand cream if needed.
