Golden milk is a warm and comforting traditional Ayurvedic drink that has been around for centuries in India. Turmeric gives this drink its beautiful golden color, and also provides antioxidant support.*
2 cups milk (dairy, almond, or soy)
2 teaspoons organic extra virgin coconut oil
1 tablespoon organic 100% pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon organic turmeric powder
½ teaspoon organic cinnamon powder
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
Pinch of saffron
In a small saucepan, heat milk on low-medium heat. Once warm, add the rest of the ingredients and whisk until they are absorbed into the milk.
Pour into mugs and sprinkle more cinnamon on top as a garnish.
Makes 1-2 servings.
