One Small Change

They say that the most important part of a journey is the first step. Without that LITTLE effort, you stay stuck in one place. I pretty much adhere to that policy when it comes to doing anything new in my life. MAJOR changes can be overwhelming to say the least, so by starting with that first step, or that ONE SMALL CHANGE you set yourself up for SUCCESS.

As a lifestyle writer, I tend towards the excess. I review restaurants regularly and have found that while I may have a GREAT time, I’ve packed on the pounds and my overall health just isn’t what it used to be.

BUT thinking that I can tackle everything I need to get fit all at once just isn’t realistic, at least not for me. I want to set myself up for success, so just like that journey, I’ve taken the first step.

I really can’t stop dining out as its part of my business, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t start my day off in a healthier manner. After a conversation with my doctor, we decided to try an easy and natural approach to my cholesterol issues.

Fiber and Omega 3’s

Each morning I begin the day with a big bowl of oatmeal, and take my Omega-3 fish oil. My first step is EASY and delicious. According to my doctor, by making this ONE small change (fish oil and increasing my fiber), I could make BIG changes in my health.

I know that I have a L-O-N-G way to go, but making my NEXT one small change, I’ll get that much closer to my goal.
