Maca Mojo Smoothie Recipe


Native to Peru, maca is an herbaceous plant similar to the turnip that only grows at high altitudes, up to 14,500 feet above sea level. This herb has been used by native Peruvians for thousands of years for its nutritional value, and we can still enjoy it today.



1 ¼ cup unsweetened coconut milk
¼ cup pitted dates, chopped
1 tablespoon almond butter
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon maca powder
½ frozen banana
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ tablespoon raw cacao powder
3 ice cubes



Blend coconut milk, dates, banana, and almond butter until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again.

Makes 1-2 servings.
