Refreshing Eucalyptus Oil… Aromatherapy Bliss!

Relax… Breathe… Renew… 100% Pure Essential Eucalyptus Oil is Ideal for Aromatherapy

Enjoy a quiet bath, the peaceful release of a gentle massage, and the many sensual pleasures that aromatherapy brings with eucalyptus oil… you deserve it!

Eucalyptus Oil smells incredibly clean and fresh. But what does “clean and fresh” smell like?

The smell of clean and fresh obviously has associations from experience… crisply laundered cotton sheets… newly mown grass… your children’s hair when you lean over to kiss them after they’ve had a bath… sun-kissed mountain air… those precious minutes after a cleansing rain… and, no doubt, the arresting freshness of eucalyptus all smell like clean. It’s like synesthesia, that psychological phenomenon where someone can smell a sound or hear a color.

G’day, ya smell great, mate!

Though the word Eucalyptus comes from the Greek, meaning “well covered,” this flowering tree and shrub is native to Australia. It’s in the Myrtle family of plants, with over 700 different species, and by far the dominant tree flora in Australia, at 2,800 species!1 Koalas found it first, of course – it’s their main food – and then Australian Aboriginals used the leaves for various traditional purposes. It started becoming popular with European immigrants in the late 1700s; they discovered that its essential oil, derived from the leaves of the plant, yielded a fresh fragrance and aroma. And a clean smell, too!

So many uses, so little time!

Most of us first experienced Eucalyptus by sucking on multiple lozenges and feeling its otherworldly cool in our mouths! It’s been a part of a myriad of products: lozenges, syrups, rubs, vaporizers, teas, salves, insect repellents, creams and ointments for muscles and joints (eucalyptus leaves contain tannins, which can help soothe), even as an ingredient in toothpastes and mouthwash.2

Can you say “Ahhhhhhhhromatherapy”

With an aroma variously described as woody, slightly sweet, earthy, and invigorating, Eucalyptus is often blended with lavender, peppermint, wintergreen, or rosewood essential oils, with a carrier oil (so named because they “carry” an essential oil to the skin3) like almond, as a base.

Aromatherapy itself is a positive approach to creating an environment of well-being, by addressing the stresses of daily life with time-honored methods such as baths, inhalation, massage, salves and so much more. Employing essential oils and other aromatic compounds may change your perspective, easing stress. Today’s innovative health practitioners are all about “wellness,” taking proactive steps in a new direction to create a healthy lifestyle.

There are many wonderful ways to enjoy aromatherapy. A bath is sheer heaven, of course. A hot and steamy tub, blending aromas that match your mood, reaches a peak moment with the added scent of 100% Pure Eucalyptus Oil! Baths have a rich tradition throughout history, ritualized by many cultures. Without a doubt, a relaxing bath works like magic to relieve the stresses of everyday life.

You can also try gentle foot baths, just the thing for those on their feet, on-the-go all day long. Eucalyptus can handle foot odor, too! Hand-soaks are a marvel, soothing experience. And consider a compress, to focus oils on a specific spot; moisturizing never felt this good!

Try rubbing Eucalyptus oil onto your temples to release tension. Or in a vaporizer, for a breathtaking aromatherapy experience.

Eucalyptus… the essential oil from “down under” may just raise your spirits to new heights!
