Cherry Almond Sleepytime Smoothie Recipe

17-PP-1068-SOCIAL-smoothie Night owls have heard it all: “Count sheep!” “Read a book!” “Stop worrying!” If REM is just an alternative rock band rather than an important stage in the sleep cycle, it might be time to consider graduating from the warm glass of milk recommended by Mom to something new. This smoothie contains black cherry juice with no added sugar, and liquid melatonin to help you fall asleep quickly and stay asleep longer for those experiencing occasional sleeplessness.*


¾ cup almond milk
¼ cup black cherry juice concentrate
½ banana
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon smooth almond butter
1-4 mg Puritan’s Pride Sublingual Melatonin^
Ice cubes (to taste and consistency)


Add all ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth. Drink 30 minutes to an hour before bedtime.

Makes 1 serving.

^Melatonin affects everyone differently. If you’ve never taken melatonin before, start with 1 mg in our smoothie and increase the dosage as needed, up to 10 mg.
