Ava’s Bark Bulletin: 5 Pawsome Pup Picks

Extra! Extra! Bark all about it! Ava the Chow Chow mix is here to talk about some of her favorite things (with a little help from Mom, veterinary technician Molly Bonacci).

Toys: When it comes to chewing on bones, Ava can be a little picky, but one of her very favorite bones to chew on are Chew n’ Clean toys. These bones come in different sizes for small, medium, and large dogs, and are flavored with mouth-watering bacon. Not only are they enjoyable for dogs to chew on, but they help to clean their teeth and promote healthy gums. Dental care is very important in dogs, and this way they can have a good time while brushing their teeth. Plus, they are affordable! If Ava is anything like her mom, she likes to get good deals!

Joint Supplements: Ava will 9 years old soon, and takes VitaPet Senior, which is a daily vitamin which contains the glucosamine she needs. A daily supplement with glucosamine provides nutritional support for the joints.

Calming Treats: With summer comes beautiful weather and spending time outdoors, but with that also comes loud noises such as thunderstorms and fireworks. While most of us are celebrating and watching the fireworks, many dogs are at home scared and hiding. Ava has always had a fear of thunderstorms and fireworks. Luckily, NaturVet Quiet Moments Calming Tablets are great for dogs during high stress events, like fireworks, thunderstorms, grooming appointments, boarding stays, or vet visits.

Treats: Almost all of us are guilty of wanting to spoil our dogs and give them lots of treats. Let’s face it: they are great at giving us those big puppy dog eyes! One of Ava’s very favorite treats are Healthfuls Sweet Potato Slices. These treats are made from dried sweet potatoes, and are low in fat (Ava needs low-fat treats because she is a little chunky!). These treats also contain important vitamins like A and C.

Skin and Coat Supplement: In the summertime, Ava gets a haircut, but in the winter she has a full-grown coat and dry skin due to the cold Michigan winters. Most dogs are not good at taking pills, so the Puritan’s Pride Coat & Skin liquid supplement makes it easy to administer, and it contains vitamins A, D, and E. Simply add it to your pet’s food to help with overall health of their skin and coat. Ava loves it mixed in with her dog food!

These are just a few of Ava’s favorites! What does your dog love? Let us know in the comments!
